Marconi Art Project Exhibition at the Tourist Office, Clifden
SaltPond Visitor Center Exhibition 2017
I started the Marconi Art Project in 2014, the 140th year since the birth of Guglielmo Marconi, inventor and Nobel Prize winner. I showed the first exhibition during Clifden Arts Festival in September. It is an ongoing series of works inspired by the landscape of sites used by Guglielmo Marconi for his Wireless Stations in the early 20th century. I began with the Derrygimlagh Site near Clifden in Connemara which is now also a Discovery Point along the Wild Atlantic Way.
The project continues with more Connemara paintings and photographs.
A series of my paintings from the Cape Cod Marconi site areas in Massachusetts were exhibited in the SaltPond Visitor Center in Cape Cod March 2017.
