Bog Road Evening
The theme for the Clifden Arts Festival’s Window Trail this year is Regeneration. I’m delighted my watercolor painting ‘Bog Road Evening’ is in Ooh by Gum’s window at the Station House Courtyard. My inspiration for this painting, was seeing the shape and colours of the bog and lake, in this oileáin agus portach landscape between Roundstone and Clifden. I loved the beginning of the autumn colours, russet browns and yellows appearing in the green bog with a purple toned sky reflecting in the lake. Plants becoming dormant to wait for Spring Regeneration. The painting is framed in a light wood frame, Image Size 16″ x 12″, 495-
