Dogs Bay beach makes up part of a tombola near Roundstone with Gurteen Beach on the other side. The white ‘sand’ is made up of forminifera, giving a beautiful turquoise colour to the water on sunny days. This is a little section showing how even bits of flotsam can provide colour in the sand.
