Lá Fhéile MhicDara, the Feast Day of St. MacDara’s SOLD 🙏

The pilgrimage day on July 16th to the holy island of MacDaras off Mace Head in Carna is a very special day in the year for people of the area. There is mass on the island at the church of the sixth century saint MacDara, weather permitting, or else it takes place on the mainland if the sea is rough. This has taken place for years and the tradition remains strong even today.
