Western Light, Colours
Even in a painting with relatively soft muted tones like this one, I have used mixes of blue, brown, white, red and yellow paint. By varying the amount of each to the mix I can get a completely different color or tones. It’s one of my favorite parts of the process of painting- getting all those buttery colours ready to dip my brush or palette knife into- and then the painting starts.
